Haul: American Eagle + Converse + Reebok

Hi guys! Today's blog post is a small pre-fall haul!
The top photo isn't that good, but you get the gist of what I got from it. Since it was labor day there were some sales going on that I hit up. One of them was at American Eagle, and everything was 40% off! I love American Eagle, but sometimes it can be a little bit pricey so when I saw they had this huge sale I promised myself I would go. Plus, I needed some new jeans! The bracelets and both pairs of jeans are from American Eagle and I know you can still the jeans. While the shoes are Converse, however I got them at Ross for $25! I needed some new ones and when I saw these for half the price of regular ones I grabbed them immediately! And finally I just added my new running shorts to this haul because they're awesome! They're Reebok, but I got them at Dick's Sporting Goods. I love how colorful they are, and will help me get pumped for running at 5 o'clock in the morning. I am so eager for fall to come!

Scrapbook Update

Hi guys! Sorry this blog post is a little late but labor day just messed my whole weekend up, and I had a race that day so blogging got put on the back burner. But today's post is of one of the things I did this weekend which was scrapbook!
I haven't had time to scrapbook recently, but this weekend I did and I was eager to so I sat myself down and got to it! To speed up the scrapbooking process I had purchased this Project Life kit from Becky Higgins with some birthday money, and its amazing! I was able to scrapbook two trips and about three months worth of instagram photos with it. And if you don't know what Project Life is I will have a link to it at the end of this blog post, but its based around a core kit, a pack of page protectors, an album, and of course your photos. I also used some items that I like to use when I am scrapbooking to snazz it up a little bit. I use a corner chomper, a date stamp, some border punches, two paper pads from My Mind's Eye, and some other accessories like stickers. I am so eager to scrapbook more and I really recommend getting Project Life if you don't always have time to do an elaborate scrapbook layout or always feel stuck when you start.

Hair Care Haul

Hi guys! I have a hair haul to share with you all today!
I have been hearing so many people rave about the Batiste dry shampoo and the it's a 10 miracle leave-in product that I finally caved and bought them. I already had a dry shampoo from Not Your Mother's called Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo, but I was not impressed by it. It didn't smell that good and my hair was still greasy after using it. I'm going to have to use it up before I start using the new one, but I already know the batiste one smells AMAZING!
I have seen so many people with these ribbon elastics, and I needed some new hair ties so I just bought them. They are also really cute compared to regular ones.
And finally, it's a 10 was pretty expensive for the amount of product you get so I thought of it as an investment. However, I quickly learned that you need very little when you use so its going to last a long time. I use this almost everyday after I've gotten out of the shower and toweled dried my hair. I love it because after cross country in the morning you don't always have time to dry your hair and do something with it so I just spray this in and brush it through and once my hair dries naturally it looks amazing! There's also a ton of benefits to using this.

DIY: Wall Art

Hi guys! Today's blog post is another DIY! And its...*drum roll*... toilet paper rolls wall art!
Materials:
Toilet Paper Rolls
Scissors
Paint (Acrylic or Spray Paint)
Mirror
Hot Glue Gun
1. Cut toilet paper rolls into 1 1/2" pieces
2. Plan out your design
3. Paint the toilet paper rolls
4. Glue them together into the design you want
5. Hang it up!
I made this in art class last year, and I thought it was so cool and easy to make that I thought I would share it with you guys! I was feeling fancy so I used this mirror I found laying around and glued it on top of the toilet paper rolls, however, I know there are mirrored coasters that you can buy from Dollar Tree. It really looks expensive and like its made out of metal, but when you look at it closely you can tell it isn't. There are a ton of different designs on Pinterest so if you need some inspiration head over there. I will link a blog post to one below. And if you are having trouble with strings of glue all over it from using the hot glue gun than go back with a blow-dryer on warm/hot and melt the strings.

DIY: Repurpose Wine Bottle

Hi guys! I swear I had all my blog posts ready to go for last week, and then time just disappeared! But this weekend I'm going to make sure all the blog posts are done so I only have to post them during the week.
On to today's blog post, a DIY!
Materials:
Wine Bottle
Jute or Yarn or Twine
Ribbon
Glue
I needed a vase for a flower so I went looking on Pinterest and came across this DIY, however it only linked back to a picture (the one below), so I went searching on the internet and found this blog post:
It was descriptive and helped me figure out what to do.
However, this is what I did:
1. Find an empty bottle (keeping label on is optional, I did)
2. Put some glue on at the sides (Elmer's or I used Glossy Accents) and start wrapping the twine or jute around the bottle
3. You can glue it the entire way but I felt mine was secure enough so I just used glue at the bottom, the top, and where the bottle was decreasing in width
4. Put something decorative on it (I put a ribbon around the skinny part, because it didn't turn out so good there)
Now you're done!
Repurposed wine bottles gives some use to the old wine bottles
Hope you guys enjoyed this DIY! I have a few more planned so be on the look out for those!

DIY: Lip Scrub

Hi guys! I think I'm starting to get in the hang of juggling everything in my life! But when I say that I feel like I'm jinxing myself. But on to the blog post!
Lip scrubs are a great way to exfoliate your lips especially during the winter time! Exfoliating is very important for the lips as it is the only part of your body that doesn't exfoliate itself! Doing this once a day also helps your lipstick apply smoother. However, if you were to buy a lip scrub from Lush it can cost a lot of money and may not be that accessible. So I found this recipe for a one on Pinterest. Its a cheaper alternative to the Lush lip scrub and is made with 1 part brown sugar, 1 part honey, and 1 part olive oil. After mixing all of it together, store it in an airtight container. Because this is all natural and lacks preservatives this may not last that long so make small batches. However, since it is so cheap to make, you can make as my batches as you need as time goes on. This picture is not my own however I will be linking the original blog post of it here:
Speaking of Pinterest you should go follow me on there! My link can be found on my blog on the side next to my Tumblr and YouTube Channel link.
